Air Via in 2006

Мнениеот Jens » 12 Сеп 2005 20:17

hey guys,

after a longer time its me again

fortunatly air via was/still is a common visitor during this summer. damn, I really like them! but what about air via in 2006? do you have any news about this? there where roumors about Tu214. but I thing some old 737 or md80ies are more realistic. but at all, best option would be to keep the Tu154 in the sky...

thanks + greetings

Hi Jens,
We know almost as much as the owners of air via know - nothing :) Rescently new rumours arrived stating that air via is looking direct tolouse and that some second hande A320 will carry the VIA est vita logo.
Yet again i will believe it once i see it. Months ago in a german magazine some information about MDs appeared, but soon was forgotten.

Now some claim that the airbus info is serious this time, but we shall see in the future...

best wishes

The roumors about Tu-214 were a total bullshit from the begining. I suppose it will be A320, but there is a little chance for a B737. In my opinion there is no chance for MD-80.

hey slice,

thanks for your very interesting answer - never heard that they are looking for airbus!

but imagine, a local spotter with more or less background knowledge told me that Air Via might use the Tu 154M also next year. Unfortunatly there is still a lot of confusion around these noise restrictions...

thanks!

I read about those orders in the Airliner World magazine, and it said that even Balkan Holidays Air was going to purchase 7, but that was before they introduced the A320s.

Next year, Air Via will be leasing at least 3 A320s. This is from the internet.

Hey Delyan,

thanks for the more or less concrete (but honestly sad) answer. I really hope to see them as long as possible using the TU154 in their typically "Air Via" style. Damn, I am always deeply impressed

I really doubt it would be the same experience to see them approaching with an A320. Even the MD 80 of B.A.C. isn´t a highlight anymore. But for sure I know this is everything but important to an airline. Looks like efficiancy is going to "aibusnize" or "boeingnize" aviation - unfortunatly

what about the future of the few Tu154 going to be replaced by A320? I think/hope they are going to be sold to Russia/CIS?

I am not sure about the future of Air Via'a T154s. Personally, A320 family of aircraft is one of my favorites. It can carry the same number of passengers as the Russian and burns less fuel. Remember, the fuel is becoming very expensive!

Yes Delyan,

I totally argee with you. Looks like there is simply no other alternative. You know, what makes me so sad is that during these days an era is going to end! So please make pictures of them as long as they are still up in the air! I will give my best ;)

And thanks Toni for your answer!

nice weekend to all of you
