Изключително интересно развитие... за мен очаквано, но въпреки това изненадващо бързо.
Нека да видим как ще се развие сделката и какво ще излезе от приватизацията на JAT

FLYING FOR FREE
Labour unions foiled government attempts to sell debt-ridden Olympic Airways for decades, costing Greek taxpayers millions while employees enjoyed generous benefits -- their family members could fly around the world for free.
The EU took disciplinary measures against Athens for pouring state money into the loss-making airline, even after private local airlines began servicing similar routes for less.
Olympic was sold in 2008, but only after the state lavishly compensated or re-hired about 4,600 employees. Many blocked Athens' thoroughfares recently because they had not received all their severance money.
Olympic Air (OA, Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International (ATH)) will phase out its remaining two A319-100s and three A320-200s by the end of this month. The aircraft are no longer scheduled to operate on Olympic's scheduled domestic and regional flights from March 30 onwards. Olympic will cancel its services from Athens to Larnaca (LCA) and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion (TLV) and from Thessaloniki Makedonia (SKG) to Chania Ioannis Daskalogiannis International (CHQ), Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis (HER), Mykonos (JMK), Mytilene (MJT), Rhodes Diagoras/Maritsa (RHO) and Santorini (JTR). It will continue to operate eight Dash 8-400s and two Dash 8-100s. Some of the aircraft including A320-200 SX-OAH (c/n 3316) are expected to be transferred to Aegean Airlines (A3, Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International (ATH)). The European Commission is currently reviewing the proposed acquisition of Olympic Air by Aegean Airlines originally announced in October 2012.

Olympic Air now an Aegean subsidiary; new operations outlined
25OCT2013
Aegean Airlines (A3, Athens Int'l) on October 23 signed a definitive agreement with Marfin Investment Group for the acquisition of Olympic Air (OA, Athens Int'l) which will now operate as a subsidiary of Aegean Airlines. The transfer of 100% of Olympic Air's shares was completed on October 23 at a cost of EUR72million, of which EUR20million was paid a deposit with the balance to be paid off in five tranches of EUR10.4million, the first of which was paid on October 23. Regarding operations, ch-aviation can exclusively reveal that from November 1, Olympic Air will also operate some of its Dash 8-400s on behalf of Aegean on daily flights from Athens Int'l to Mytilene and Santorini and on twice weekly flights to Chania. Conversely, Aegean will operate its A320-200s on daily Olympic flights to Bucharest Otopeni and Sofia as well as on some weekly domestic flights to Kerkyra, Alexandroupolis and Ioannina. A press conference will be held on October 31 during which Olympic's post-acquisition future will be outlined.
